Francis Ngannou had just five years’ MMA experience under his belt heading into his heavyweight title fight with Stipe Miocic at UFC 220, and ‘The Predator’ believes that that played a huge role in the outcome.
“I didn’t spend enough time in the octagon to have that experience,” Ngannou, who is set to take on Miocic in a championship rematch at UFC 260, told Joe Rogan on a recent episode of JRE (h/t Jed Meshew of MMA Fighting). “Even though it was almost four years since I’d been doing the sport but I didn’t spend enough time in the octagon to have that experience.
