Bellator held an open tryouts in Honolulu to find local talent to compete at the upcoming doubleheader in Hawaii on Dec. 20 and 21, and 10 fighters were signed by the MMA organization.
The events will take place at the Neal S. Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu. The first card features Josh Barnett’s promotional debut against fellow newcomer Ronny Markes, while Hawaiian star Ilima-Lei Macfarlane puts her flyweight title on the line versus Kate Jackson in the headline attraction on Dec. 21.
The fighters signed by Bellator compete next month are Braydon Akeo (3-0), Cheyden Leialoha (7-1), Pierre Daguzan (5-3, 1 NC), Jamie Thorton (6-5), Hunter Ewald (0-0), Keoni Diggs (7-0), Scotty Hao (4-2), Swayne Lunasco (7-0), Kaylan Gorospe (0-0) and Ben Wilhelm (3-0).
