Former Cage Warriors flyweight champion, Nathan Greyson, will face EFC veteran and fellow promotional newcomer, Cal Ellenor, in his Bellator debut in Newcastle on Feb. 9.
Bellator confirmed the preliminary card bout, which will be contested at bantamweight, to MMA Fighting on Thursday. WhoaTV.com first reported Greyson’s signing earlier the same day.
Greyson (6-2-0) made international headlines when he was axed from Cage Warriors a week out from his first title defense against Blaine O’Driscoll at Cage Warriors 99.
Just days before his withdrawal, in an interview with MMA Fighting’s Eurobash, “Dread” underlined the lack of incentive to make the 125-pound weight class due to the UFC’s reported axing of the division.
