Five years on from their first fight at UFC 196, the rivalry between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz still lives large.
This past Friday (March 5th) marked five years since Diaz submitted McGregor, handing the Irishman his first-ever UFC loss. McGregor was initially scheduled to challenge Rafael Dos Anjos for the lightweight belt at the event, but after an injury forced ‘RDA’ out Diaz stepped up on short notice to produce 2016’s Upset of the Year.
