Nate Diaz has closed the door on a third fight against former dual-division champion Conor McGregor, claiming he has no interest at all in fighting the controversial Irish star.
Diaz and McGregor have shared the Octagon on two separate occasions with their first bout taking place at UFC 196 in March 2016 at welterweight. McGregor piled the pressure on Diaz early in the fight but became fatigued quickly, and Diaz capitalized in the second round by dropping “The Notorious” before locking in a rear-naked-choke.
The second fight, which took place five months later at UFC 202, was much closer and again McGregor dominated early but managed to weather the storm and hold on for a majority decision victory.
