A thrilling lightweight bout between Dustin Poirier and Nate Diaz was announced last week for UFC 230, and the two fighters even stared down at a recent press conference in Los Angeles. But it seems like when a Diaz brother is involved, nothing’s a done deal until both fighters are in the Octagon.
Diaz left the UFC’s 25th anniversary press conference, which preceded last Saturday’s UFC 227, when a title fight between champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor was announced for UFC 229 in October.
He shortly thereafter expressed his discontent with the promotion via social media.
