Nate Diaz has been removed from the official UFC rankings, presumably due to absence.

It’s been well over two years since Nate Diaz last made an appearance in the Octagon, and the former lightweight title challenger has finally been removed from the UFC’s official rankings.

Diaz, who was formerly ranked in the UFC’s top-fifteen lightweight rankings, hasn’t fought since his blockbuster rematch with Conor McGregor at UFC 202. The Stockton local dropped a majority decision to McGregor after initially beating the Irishman at UFC 196. Both fights earned Fight of the Night honors and are two of the biggest pay-per-view events in UFC history.

Diaz was originally scheduled to make his return to the Octagon last year against Dustin Poirier, but ‘The Diamond’ withdrew from the bout due to injury.
