Conor McGregor likely will not fight again this year and rival Nate Diaz seems to be just fine with that.
In a since-deleted tweet, Diaz appeared to respond to a statement from UFC President Dana White that McGregor would not be fighting again in 2020 following his lone appearance at UFC 246 in January, where he defeated Donald Cerrone by 40-second TKO.
McGregor announced a retirement in June and prior to that, White had said he didn’t expect McGregor to compete in front of an empty venue anyway, which has been the case for the majority of sporting events during the COVID-19 pandemic.
