NAC says it's 'highly unlikely' Aldo will be denied medical clearance to fight McGregor

Nevada Athletic Commission executive director Bob Bennett assesses Jose Aldo's chances of being cleared to compete against Conor McGregor at UFC 189.

The MMA world is still waiting to see if Jose Aldo will make it to July 11th to fight Conor McGregor in the UFC 189 main event in Las Vegas. It looked like Aldo vs. McGregor would be scrapped when news of an Aldo apparent broken rib first came to light, but a UFC press release stated that he'd suffered a rib bruise, and the fight is still on.

While Brazilian and American doctors apparently share conflicting views as to the extent of Aldo's injury, the decision ultimately lies at the feet of the Nevada Athletic Commission.
