October 20th is a special day for me. On that day in 2007, Prime Wrestling (then known as Pro Wrestling Ohio) had its first show in Lakewood, Ohio. To quote Joe Dombrowski, the promotion started “from humble beginnings.” It aired on the SportsTime Ohio channel (based in Cleveland) from 2007 until 2013. The final show for Prime, coincidentally enough, was also on October 20th. This promotion was the first I worked for that had television, and was also where I met so many colleagues that would influence my career. This week, I’m going down memory lane in writing about Prime Wrestling.
