Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight titleholder Jon Jones, who was stripped of his 205-pound strap and suspended indefinitely, will say goodbye to yet another sponsor after running into legal trouble last weekend in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
"Jon Jones is no longer a MuscleTech sponsored athlete at this time," a rep from the nutritional supplement company confirmed to Lift Studios. "You'll see his name and image being removed from all advertising material, websites and social media over the next day or so."
The talented-but-troubled mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter promised to do some "soul searching" in the wake of his hit-and-run accident last Sunday, one that sent a pregnant woman to the hospital and could put Jones behind bars, if a felony conviction is upheld.
