After seeing his pivotal featherweight clash with former bantamweight champion, Aljamain Sterling fall to the wayside ahead of UFC 307, Movsar Evloev has withdrawn himself from the event entirely — with reports claiming a viable opponent for the surging Russian could not be found.
Evloev, who currently holds the number number six ranked featherweight contender, was slated to make his return to action next weekend at UFC 307 in Salt Lake City, taking on former undisputed titleholder, Sterling in a high-stakes pairing at the Delta Center.
However, with Uniondale wrestling talent, Sterling confirming his withdrawal from the pairing amid an elbow injury suffered during sparring ahead of his return, Movsar Evloev was the subject of multiple offers to continue on the card, namely by recent Noche UFC winner, Diego Lopes in a short-notice rematch.
