The longtime middleweight contender is set to meet former champion Alexander Shlemenko in the main event of Bellator 185 in October. A light heavyweight matchup between Muhammed Lawal and former titleholder Liam McGeary has also been scheduled for the card.
The two fights were confirmed on the Bellator 181 Spike TV broadcast on Friday night. Giovanni Tjin first reported the Mousasi-Shlemenko news.
Mousasi signed with Bellator earlier this week after a four-year stint in the UFC. The Dutchman has won five in a row, including wins over Chris Weidman, Vitor Belfort, and Uriah Hall.
