Morning Report: Michael Bisping says Tony Ferguson is ‘for sure’ a tougher matchup for Conor McGregor than Nate Diaz

When Tony Ferguson submitted Kevin Lee at UFC 216, not only did he claim the UFC interim lightweight title, he also put himself at the very top of the list of future opponents for lightweight champion Conor McGregor. Ferguson’s performance on Saturday was so impressive that even though the general consensus is that the UFC had been targeting McGregor vs. Nate Diaz III for the lightweight champion’s return, UFC President Dana White proclaimed afterwards that a title unification bout “has to happen.
