It’s abundantly clear that there is no love lost between UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping and number one ranked middleweight Yoel Romero. But with Bisping tied up in fight with Georges St-Pierre at some nebulous point in the future, the two top middleweights are restricted to fighting each other verbally instead of in the octagon; something both men have done liberally over the past few months.
Recently, Romero, frustrated by the UFC and Bisping opting to pass him over for St-Pierre - a career welterweight coming off of an almost four year retirement - began calling for an interim title fight against Anderson Silva, citing Bisping’s lack of credible challengers tarnishing the legacy of the division.
