Prior to last year and Nate Diaz’s short-notice submission victory over him, Conor McGregor’s chief rival in MMA has been Jose Aldo. He and Aldo engaged in almost a year of promotional build-up before finally fighting each other at UFC 194, where McGregor won the UFC featherweight title in the first round.
Well it’s safe to say there is still enmity there.
Speaking recently with FightHype, Aldo addressed McGregor’s dispute with erstwhile training partner, Paulie Malignaggi, calling the UFC lightweight champion “bad for the sport.
