Anderson Silva and Georges St-Pierre are two of the longest reigning champions in UFC history (one and three respectively, with Demetrious Johnson sandwiched in between them) and their title runs ran concurrently, with both men winning their belts in 2006 (GSP lost his to Matt Serra but regained the title the next year).
