Colby Covington hopes that the sacrifices Darren Till has made in his career were worth it.
Till’s failed attempt to wrest the welterweight championship away from Tyron Woodley in the main event of UFC 228 on Saturday proved to be the perfect fodder for Covington to feast on. The one-sided submission loss that Woodley handed the 25-year-old Englishman has convinced Covington that Till was never worthy of challenging Woodley in the first place, and it also left the door open for Covington to potentially meet Woodley at a future date (Covington is eyeing the UFC 230 main event) in what he is calling “the biggest grudge match in UFC history.
