Molly McCann misses weight by one pound for UFC Liverpool, has extra hour for second attempt

The former Cage Warriors champion failed to make weight on her first attempt at Saturday’s weigh-ins for UFC Liverpool. McCann is a native of the English city and she was booked to fight Gillian Robertson on Sunday’s preliminary card.

On her first attempt, McCann stepped onto the scale with a towel, but eventually stripped down and made use of the hoop for her official check. Her weight on this attempt was 127 pounds, one over the women’s flyweight limit (including a one-pound allowance).

Officials announced that McCann would have an extra hour to make the weight.
