Former Ultimate Fighting Championship interim and Pride Fighting Championships heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame during a ceremony on Sunday, July 10 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The news was revealed in an announcement during Saturday’s UFC 198 pay-per-view in Curitiba, Brazil.
Nogueira, 34-10 (5-6 UFC), will go down in history as one of the best Brazilian jiu-jitsu heavyweights to compete in mixed martial arts from his era, and was the anchor of Pride’s early heavyweight MMA dominance before the arrival of Fedor Emelianenko.
