MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay — Mike Perry had nose surgery hours after losing a split decision to Vicente Luque in the co-main event of UFC Uruguay on Saturday night and is doing fine, MMA Fighting has learned.
Perry’s manager Abraham Kawa told ESPN that the fighter is expected to stay in Uruguay for a few days.
Luque landed a vicious knee that fractured Perry’s nose in the final moments of the bout, and the photos of his damaged nose immediately went viral online.
While Perry was having surgery at the hospital in Montevideo, his wife Danielle Nickerson posted on social media he was “doing ok” despite the gruesome injury.
