At UFC Fight Night 82, Mickey Gall (2-0) made his UFC debut against fellow newcomer Mike Jackson. Within seconds of the fight, Gall dropped Jackson to the canvas and followed up with a rear-naked choke.
Gall defeated Jackson via submission at 0:45 of round one.
With his win over Jackson, the 24-year-old Gall earned a shot to welcome WWE star CM Punk to the UFC. However, the fight was delayed after CM Punk revealed he would undergo surgery back in February. Gall is expected to fight CM Punk sometime this year.
