After two years on the sidelines due to various injuries and several delays, top ranked UFC bantamweight Michael McDonald is finally scheduled to return to action against Masanori Kanehara at UFC 195 early next year. Following a report from FOX Sports' Damon Martin, UFC Vice President of Public Relations Dave Sholler confirmed the news on social media.
McDonald (16-3) hasn't stepped inside the cage since December 2013 at UFC on FOX 9, when he was choked out by longtime contender Urijah Faber. Prior to that, "Mayday" picked up an impressive submission win over Brad Pickett.
