Michael Chiesa will make his first 170-pound foray against Carlos Condit at UFC 232.
Multiple outlets confirmed the booking on Tuesday following an initial report from ESPN.com. UFC 232 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in las Vegas on Dec. 29 and features a women’s featherweight title tilt between Cristiane Justino and Amanda Nunes.
Chiesa will move to welterweight on the heels of back-to-back losses to Anthony Pettis and Kevin Lee at 155 pounds. “Maverick” missed weight for his UFC 226 bout against Pettis, which he lost via second-round submission.
