Former Bellator MMA lightweight champion Michael Chandler will finally get a shot at redemption against the man who took his belt after a brutal knee injury forced him out of his fight against Brent Primus back in June 2017.
The two are set to rematch on Dec. 14 in front of an audience of armed forces in Honolulu, the promotion announced on Thursday.
Primus (8-0) won the belt in an obviously controversial fashion and hasn’t defended his title or fought since the Chandler fight. Meanwhile, “Iron” Mike (18-4) has rattled off two wins since then -- a decision victory over Goiti Yamauchi and a submission win over Brandon Girtz.
