Prior to his co-headlining bout with Jared Cannonier at UFC 237, Anderson Silva’s manager, Jorge Guimaraes, said the former middleweight king was in the best shape of his life and, despite turning 44 last month, had no intention of retiring.
Following his first-round TKO loss to Cannonier, however, former opponent Michael Bisping thinks it’s time for ‘The Spider’ to hang up the gloves and call it a career.
“Anderson Silva is a true legend of the sport – he’s given so much,” Bisping said on the UFC 237 post-fight show on ESPN+ (transcript via MMAJunkie).
