Despite suffering a major setback in his UFC lightweight debut against Dustin Poirier at UFC 236, Max Holloway is still confident he will one day cross paths with undefeated lightweight champ Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Holloway, who is on track to surpassing Jose Aldo as the greatest featherweight in UFC history, wants to become the greatest fighter in UFC history, and in order to do that, the Hawaiian knows he will have to move up in weight to defeat Nurmagomedov.
Speaking to South China Morning Post ahead of his highly anticipated featherweight title bout with Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 245, Holloway explained why he feels both he and Khabib are on a collision course with destiny.
