Max Holloway has pulled out of three fights in the last year, so it was only natural for fans to doubt whether the reigning featherweight champion would make it to the Octagon for UFC 231.
Holloway put those doubts to rest on Friday morning, weighing in at 144.5 pounds for his highly anticipated featherweight title defense against Brian Ortega on Saturday night. Ortega also made weight, hitting the scales at 144.75 pounds.
Holloway was forced to pull out of his original bout with ‘T-City’ at UFC 226 after demonstrating ‘concussion-like symptoms’ at the open workouts.
