Matt Sayles, one of the most recent contract winners from Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, will make his Octagon debut against Sheymon Moraes at UFC 227.
The promotion announced the featherweight pairing on Tuesday evening. UFC 227 takes place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Aug. 4 and is headlined by a bantamweight championship rematch between T.J. Dillashaw and Cody Garbrandt. Sayles vs. Moraes will headline the UFC Fight Pass portion of the preliminary card.
Sayles punched his ticket to the UFC with a first-round technical knockout of Yazan Hajeh on Episode 2 of the Contender Series on June 19.
