A welterweight matchup between Matt MacGrath and Brian Cobb has been booked for Fight Night 2, which takes place later this year. MacGrath confirmed the news to MMASucka.com on Monday.
MacGrath (18-8) is currently riding an eight-fight winning streak, which includes recent decisions over Jesse Ronson and Mike Hill. He was in talks with Bellator MMA to fight at Bellator 162 in Cedar Park, Texas on Sept. 16, but the bout did not come to fruition. “Not hearing anything from Bellator and losing patience,” he told MMASucka.com. The 36-year-old’s last loss was to current UFC fighter Nordine Taleb in 2012.
