The family of Matt Hughes is working with a non-profit foundation regarding the next steps of his recovery.
Hughes was driving a truck last Friday when it was hit by a train on tracks in Raymond, Ill. The UFC legend was seriously injured in the crash and airlifted to HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Ill., where he has been since.
The hospital said in a statement Sunday that Hughes, 43, was in “stable condition,” but remained “minimally responsive.” The family added in a statement that day that Hughes had no broken bones or internal bleeding.
