Matt Brown returns from two-year layoff, meets Ben Saunders at UFC 245

Matt Brown is back.

The veteran UFC welterweight is set to meet Ben Saunders at UFC 245 on Dec. 14 in Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported Friday.

Brown hasn’t fought since a December 2017 win over The Ultimate Fighter 1 winner Diego Sanchez. Brown talked about retiring after that fight, but ultimately opted to keep going. “The Immortal” was scheduled to face Carlos Condit in April 2018, but had to withdraw from the fight due to a torn ACL. Brown, 38, has been sidelined ever since.

Brown, who has been a pro MMA fighter since 2005 and made his UFC debut in 2008, is 2-5 over the past five years.
