Neil Magny has agreed to step in on just 18 days’ notice to headline the card opposite Gastelum.
The new tango was announced Tuesday night on UFC.com.
Magny is victorious in eight of his past nine outings. He rebounded from a loss to Demian Maia nicely by taking a split decision over Erick Silva in August.
After missing weight on two separate occasions, UFC honchos told Gastelum that he needed to move up to middleweight. “The Ultimate Fighter 17″ winner did so successfully by TKO’ing Nate Marquardt in June. Gastelum has admitted he’s an average middleweight, but could contend for the title at welterweight.
