Matt Brown announces that he will retire after upcoming fight vs. Diego Sanchez at UFC Norfolk

“The Immortal” can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

On Thursday, UFC welterweight veteran Matt Brown announced via his Instagram that his upcoming fight with Diego Sanchez at UFC Norfolk will be his last:

Brown has been competing professionally in MMA since October 2005. He became a member of the UFC roster in 2008 after competing on season seven of The Ultimate Fighter, making his official debut with a TKO win over Matt Arroyo at the TUF 7 Finale.

Over the course of 23 UFC bouts, Brown became known for his exciting fights, and at one point he was ranked among the top ten in the welterweight division after rattling off seven consecutive wins from 2012-2014.
