Colby Covington might be ranked at number two at 170 pounds, but Jorge Masvidal isn’t interested in a fight against his former teammate any time soon.
Covington and Masvidal used to be training partners at American Top Team in Florida, but the two have since broken apart from their friendship. Masvidal fell short in his bid for the title this past weekend at UFC 251, losing a unanimous decision to Kamaru Usman. ‘Gamebred’ addressed potential opponents for his next fight talking post-fight.
“The fragile guy with the MAGA hat, definitely not him,” Masvidal said about Covington at the UFC 251 post-fight press conference.
