A fun bantamweight battle between Marlon Vera and Andre Ewell has been booked for UFC Tampa.
The news was first reported by MMAJunkie on Wednesday. UFC Fight Night 161 takes place on Oct. 12 at the Amalie Center in Tampa, Florida.
Vera (14-5-1) last fought back at UFC 239 when he submitted Nohelin Hernandez in the second round. Originally, he was set to take on Sean O'Malley before USADA issues scrapped that bout. "Chito" is riding a four-fight winning streak, including a first-round TKO win over Frankie Saenz.
