A middleweight bout was added to UFC 224, which takes place in less than three weeks in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. UFC announced on Tuesday that Markus Perez will face James Bochnovic on May 12. Combate first reported the match-up.
Perez (9-1) signed with the promotion in December, taking on Eryk Anders on short notice. The Brazilian middleweight, who joined the company as an undefeated LFA champion, lost via unanimous decision.
Bochnovic (8-2) is also looking for his first victory inside the Octagon after losing to Trevin Giles in his debut at UFC 213.
