Frank Mir didn't stand a chance against Mark Hunt's power at UFC Fight Night 85 last night (Sat., March 19, 2016) in Brisbane, Australia, succumbing to a one-punch knockout just 3:01 into round one.
After much of a feeling out period, Mir tasted a vicious right hand to the left side of his temple, dropping him to the canvas and sending Hunt off on one of his infamous walkaways. It is Mir's sixth loss in his last eight fights, and it's the shortest defeat he's had since losing to Brandon Vera back at UFC 65.
While Mir's future is certainly hanging in the balance entering the latter part of 2016, Hunt's promotional stock has never looked better.
