Having undergone four-and-a-half rounds of punishment in the UFC Fight Night 65 main event over the weekend, heavyweight Mark Hunt escaped the brutal beating with no major injuries.
While many criticized everyone from the referee to Hunt’s cornermen for not stopping the fight much earlier than midway through the fifth round, when the referee eventually halted it, Hunt’s manager said his client suffered no significant repercussions from the fight.
“No major injuries, just swollen and a few nicks and he is in good spirits. Just another day in the office,” John McRae told the New Zealand Herald.
