Pereira (4-1) has been out of action since his January loss to Kennedy at BFL 34. The Tristar fighter won four in a row prior to that bout, with his most recent being a split decision victory over Maxime Dubois.
Connelly (5-4) is riding a two-fight winning streak coming into this title bout, with two stoppages, however he has only been inside the cage once in the last two years. Most recently, “Boondock” finished Kennedy’s former training partner Shawn Albrecht at BFL 37.
The bout will take place on the evening’s main card.
BFL 39 goes down on October 17 at The Hard Rock Casino in Coquitlam, BC.
