Light heavyweight Marcos Rogerio de Lima has been removed from UFC Fight Night 115 following a potential anti-doping violation.
The UFC on Friday announced that the failed drug test stemmed from an out-of-competition sample collected on Aug. 1. As a result, de Lima was provisionally suspended and pulled from his proposed clash with Saparbek Safarov scheduled for Sept. 2 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The Las Vegas-based promotion is currently seeking a replacement opponent for Safarov.
As usual, USADA will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of de Lima’s case moving forward.
