After a 17-year mixed martial arts journey, Manvel Gamburyan is calling it a career.
The Glendale Fighting Club competitor originally from Armenia announced his retirement on Saturday, following a second-round TKO loss to Johnny Eduardo at UFC Fight Night 100 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
"This might surprise a lot of people, even my family and friends," Gamburyan said. "It's been tough, this has been a long road, this is my first time being in Brazil. I had a great time, but, I think this is it for me, guys. I'm going to call it a career, probably.
