Not only is Josh Barnett not currently scheduled to compete against Chael Sonnen at an upcoming Metamoris submission grappling event, don't expect him to compete for the promotion anytime soon.
"Josh has no plans to wrestle Chael at the upcoming Metamoris or any future plans to compete at Metamoris. Period," Barnett's manager Leland Lebarre said.
Asked why, Lebarre added, "Josh Barnett fights exclusively for the UFC and Mr. White, Mr. Fertitta and Mr. Silva. Anything ancillary is just that. Josh fights Roy Nelson in a week and a half."
Sonnen said recently that he was going to go up against Barnett in November, however, Barnett, the Metamoris heavyweight champion, later refuted that claim.
