M-1 Global returned last Saturday evening with the 62nd edition of their Challenge series, this time headlined by a featherweight title fight between 145-pound champ Ivan Buchinger and lightweight champ Mansour Barnaoui. The fight lived up to expectations, as both contestants produced a competitive battle with plenty of momentum shifts that came down to the final round.
The co-main event of the evening in Sochi saw the former M-1 Global middleweight champion Vyacheslav Vasilevsky rebound from his title loss to Ramazan Emeev back in April with a submission victory against Kristijan Perak.
The event also saw Ingushetian prospect Adam Yandiev extend his undefeated streak to 9-0 with a submission win against Dmitry Voitov, while touted featherweight talent Alexey Kunchenko added another vicious highlight reel KO to his resume.
