Lyoto Machida taking time off, but wants Michael Bisping when he returns

After a rough stretch in the Octagon, Lyoto Machida is taking some time off.

The 37-year-old former UFC light heavyweight champion and current middleweight competitor suffered two bad losses in 2015. He took a beating from Luke Rockhold before being submitted in the second round of their UFC on FOX main event in 15 in Newark in April, then staged a quick turnaround and was brutally TKOd by Yoel Romero on June 27 in Florida.

So after the losses -- not to mention surgeries after his past three fights, including nasal surgery in the days after the loss to Romero -- Machida has decided it's time to regroup.
