Lyoto Machida not retiring, underwent surgery on Sunday

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida won't be calling it quits after getting beaten up by Yoel Romero, but he did undergo surgery.

It appears that Lyoto Machida will continue to keep fighting in the octagon. The 37-year-old former champion has fought in the UFC for over eight years and compiled an impressive list of accolades, but has taken a lot of damage in his last few fights.

After being submitted by Luke Rockhold in April, he returned to the cage this past weekend in Florida only to be knocked unconscious by Yoel Romero with some savage elbows on the ground.
