Lyman Good scratched from UFC 249 with injury

Welterweight Lyman Good on Saturday told MMA Fighting an injury has forced him to withdraw from the April 18 pay-per-view event, which still doesn’t have an official location.

Good, a resident of New York City, was scheduled to face Belal Muhammad on the ESPN2 preliminary card. Muhammad’s manager Ali Abdelaziz didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment on a potential replacement.

The welterweight matchup isn’t the only bout in question. UFC 249’s headliner remains unknown with lightweight champ Khabib Nurmagomedov unlikely to face Tony Ferguson. As previously reported, the promotion has offered Justin Gaethje a fight with Ferguson after the champ cast doubt on his ability to make an event where the location is still up in the air.
