After a shocking upset loss earlier this month, Louis Smolka will get a quick chance to get back in the Octagon and the win column.
On Oct. 1 at UFC Fight Night 96, Smolka was upset by “Ultimate Fighter” Season 24 cast member Brandon Moreno, tapping out to a guillotine choke at just 2:23 of the first round. Now, Smolka has signed on to face fellow flyweight prospect Ray Borg at UFC 207 on Dec. 30 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Prior to the loss to Moreno, the 25-year-old Smolka had won four straight in the UFC, taking wins over Richie Vaculik, Neil Seery, Patrick Holohan and Ben Nguyen.
