A ferocious welterweight contest was announced Thursday, as surging strikers Lorenz Larkin and Albert Tumenov have agreed to fight on Jan. 2 at UFC 195 in Las Vegas, NV.
Combined, Larkin and Tumenov have finished five of their last six victories by KO/TKO, garnering three post-fight performance bonuses in the process.
A one-time struggling middleweight, Larkin (16-4, 1 NC) has reinvigorated his UFC career with a sensational run at 170 pounds. Larkin blitzed through John Howard in less than three minutes in his divisional debut, then wilted Santiago Ponzinibbio under a hailstorm of second-round strikes in UFC Fight Night 70's 'Fight of the Night.
