In less than two weeks, consensus #1 pound-for-pound boxer in the world Vasiliy Lomachenko (13-1, 10 KOs) will take on fellow Olympic gold medalist Luke Campbell (20-2, 16 KOs) for Lomachenko’s WBO and WBA lightweight titles, as well as the vacant WBC belt. It’ll be Lomachenko’s first fight in the United Kingdom, as a sell-out crowd is expected for London’s O2 Arena.
Because the WBC is sanctioning this title bout, there are mandatory weight checks for the two fighters at 30-days, 14-days, and 7-days from the fight. Per sanctioning body rules, neither fighter is allowed to be over 10% the contracted limit at 30 days, 5% at 14 days, or 3% at 7 days.
